Personal Preparedness
Philadelphia Coordinated Health Care (PCHC) worked with the
Philadelphia Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency
Management and Temple University’s Institute on Disabilities to
develop training on Personal Preparedness. The training is for
individuals, families, caregivers, and agency staff.
The presentation will give tips on getting informed, making a plan,
and making a kit for emergencies. The training will teach you what
it means to “shelter in place” and when to evacuate for safety.
You will learn to be prepared for emergencies at work, at home
and in the community.
We cannot always control emergencies but we should be prepared.
Having a plan will keep you safe and ready. This training will provide
you with information and give you a chance to talk with individuals,
families and caregivers about personal preparedness.
Training is available for individuals, families, and agency staff.
To schedule or request a training, contact PCHC’s Education Department
