- Increase awareness of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their needs to the community health care organizations
- Increase access to community health care services through outreach, training and technical assistance
- Identifiy and link individuals, families and support teams with community-based health care services and resources
- Provide technical assistance regarding insurance coordination
- Advocate for quality health service delivery through Medicare and Medical Assistance
- Review medical-record keeping systems and provide recommendations for improvement
- Provide training on various health care issues (Medical Record Keeping, Health Care Advocacy, Hospitalization and Continuing Care, and Durable Medical Equipment and Oral Hygiene)
